If you have a project you’d like to me to help you with, I’d love to hear from you. TheArtisticHousewife [at] gmail [dot] com.
I didn’t want to become an artist when I was little.
I did, however, want to be in charge; I’d set up my magnetic dry erase board on the fridge and command a kitchen of rowdy invisible students; I wanted to be a teacher. But at that age I had no idea you had to get good at something to teach it!
I graduated with a B.A. in English Literature, thinking I’d become an English teacher, but my love for art led me down a different path. My career began in marketing, which funneled into graphic design, then to portrait photography, and finally after starting a family, illustration. I’m hooked! I love working from home, creating art that I hope will make you smile.
Most days you can find me painting digitally on my iPadPro, but occasionally I’m in my studio losing myself in watercolors. I love texture and retro design, especially mid-century illustration.
I’m inspired so many things; nature, beautifully-written books, music… but mostly by my family: my husband, two sweet, rambunctious boys, and a handful of pets. We live just outside of NYC in New Jersey.
